"Restoration of the Puget Organ "
YOU CAN HELP US
Restoring an organ is an expensive and complex project. Our small committee
has raised over $350,000 towards the ultimate cost of over $400,000
with private donations and a NSW Heritage Grant of $26,500. Our fund-raising
goal is now set on the return journey in 2008 and I hope to sponsor
its return from France by air. It should come home in style, certainly
the most fragile parts will have to travel par avion, and with determination
and perseverance I am aiming for the entire instrument to land at Sydney
Airport. But this, of course, is still a dream.
To make it a reality, we need to raise another $50,000 with your help
by sponsoring pipes, and organ stops and tax-deductible donations.
Please support this important restoration with donations (which are
tax deductible), and attendance at our fund-raising functions, as we
continue this very exciting journey.
Details of pipe sponsorships and sponsorships of organ stops are available
under “Donations”
For details of our next fund-raising function in the Chapel see “Events”
Roger Woodward
has contributed immeasurably with his magnificent donation of a gala
recital to benefit jointly The Curran Foundation and the restoration
of the organ. Our heartfelt thanks to him for his extraordinary generosity,
and to all of you for your continuing support.
