"Donations and Sponsorship of Pipes"

Fund-raising is more important than ever now as we make preparations to bring the organ home. There will be freight and insurance to pay. We are now so close to the fulfilment of the dream.
Please continue those donations and sponsorships.

You may choose to sponsor and dedicate:

• Organ Stops controls a rank of pipes @ $2000
• A façade pipe @ $1000
• A pipe with musical engraving @ $500
• An original 1890 interior pipe @ $300
Restored Wooden Pipes

Or become a major sponsor of the restoration of a whole organ division: the console, music stand, or organ bench.
A certificate will be issued bearing the name(s) of the donor and, if desired, the name(s) of those in whose memory a pipe has been dedicated, or you can make your donation confidential.

To date we have –
• Three of the 13 organ stops sponsored at $2,000,
• 36 of the 39 façade pipes at $1,000;
• 20 of the 36 musically engraved pipes at $500.
As well as these special sponsorships, there remain approximately 350 original pipes at $300 to be sponsored from a total of 624, so you can see how important and successful this is.

Special Pipes
There are special pipes for donations. On May 13 2007 Sister Margaret McKay celebrated her Golden Jubilee of profession. Her dedicated pipe is one way to honour her in such a special year. There are also dedicated pipes for Sister Kath Ragg, Mrs Brenda Carmody, former wedding supervisor, Sister Mary Shanahan, Sister Anne McGrath, Sister Joan Pender, and Sister Cecilie Amiet.

Anyone can donate in memory of someone who is or was special to you and all donations are tax deductible.

The Horbury Hunt Club has donated a façade pipe and the dedication is worthy of full mention:
“Dedicated by The Horbury Hunt Club Inc., in memory of John Horbury Hunt, 1838-1904, architect of the Convent of the Sacred Heart, Rose Bay,including the convent chapel and its glorious interior”

We have had 6 Classes who have had reunions and decided to donate something in memory of their happy years at School. So for all the ‘7s’ (1947, 1957 (they have!), 1967, 1977, 1987 and 1997, this is your year!
